The Italian American Golf Open benefits the Lido Civic Club Scholarship Fund and The Casa Italian Cultural Center in Washington, DC. Since its inception almost 40 years ago by members of Holy Rosary Church, the Italian American Open has been a successful means of raising funds for these two worthy causes.
Through the Lido Civic Club Scholarship Fund, this event has assisted in raising hundreds of thousand of dollars to provide financial assistance to local Italian Americans who are proven exemplary Senior High School students bound for college.
Through Casa Italiana Cultural Center in Washington, DC, The Open supports many Italian American events, the Italian Language School, and a “home” for many new and established Italian Americans in the area.
The Open has been organized by the Lido Civic Club of Washington, DC since 1998.
